ISLAMABAD, Dec 20 (APP):President Dr Arif Alvi Thursday while terming Pakistan as an investment ready country, said there existed huge potential of improvement of defence and trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey.Talking to Minister of National Defence of Turkey General (R) Hulusi Akar, who called on him along with a delegation here, he said the investors from all over the world particularly from Turkey must take advantage of this opportunity.
He said Turkish companies had invested immensely in energy and infrastructure projects in Pakistan which not only had strengthened the ties between the two countries but also played an important role in the development and progress of both the nations.
He said Pakistan and Turkey were bound in deep and historical relations, which were not only brotherly but mutually beneficial as well.
President Alvi and the Turkish minister hoped that as a result of president’s recent visit to Turkey, the mutual relations would further deepen and broaden with the help of further high level contact in near future.
The president also stressed the need for early finalization of Free Trade Agreement between Pakistan and Turkey.
