ISLAMABAD, June 27 (APP):President Mamnoon Hussain Wednesday said Austria and Australia were important countries and Pakistan was keen to strengthen cooperation with them in all fields.
The president was talking to the ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Austria Mansoor Ahmed Khan and High Commissioner-designate to Australia Babar Amin, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, a press release said.
The president directed both envoys to enhance cultural cooperation and increase the number of trade and business delegation with the two countries.
He said that a large number of Pakistani students were studying in Austria and Australia and there was a need to further increase cooperation with these countries in that regard.
He also called for highlighting the positive image and promoting the tourism opportunities in Pakistan.
The president emphasized the need for exploring new avenues to increase bilateral trade with both the countries.
He underscored that the relations with businessmen and trade organizations of these countries must be strengthened, which would be mutually beneficial.
The president underlined that investors from the said countries must be encouraged to make investment in different sectors of Pakistan.
He also directed the envoys-designate to take all possible measures for the welfare of Pakistani community and to increase the number of the country’s workforce.
