ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday
telephoned Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and felicitated on
the success of Justice and Development Party (AKP) in elections.
The President expressed the hope that democracy would further
strengthen in Turkey with the success of AKP and as a result, the
prosperity of the people would increase.
The President said Pakistan and Turkey were two brotherly
countries and their friendship based on common faith and history was
growing day by day.
The President hoped that under the government of AKP, the
people-to-people contacts between the two countries would further
expand. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu thanked President
Mamnoon and said that Pakistan-Turkey relations would attain new
heights of friendship. Earlier, President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday also called
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and extended felicitations on
the success of AKP in election.
