ISLAMABAD, May 2 (APP):President Dr Arif Alvi on Thursday congratulated the newly elected office-bearers of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) and hoped that they would work for development of responsible journalism, freedom of expression, and dissemination of information to the general public.
The President said that he was confident that the government-media relations would improve further during the tenure of the newly elected leadership of CPNE. Furthermore, he urged the CPNE to continue its efforts for the betterment of journalist community in the country.
