ISLAMABAD, March 16 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari, Monday, expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the tragic incident in Rahimyar Khan which resulted in women’s casualties at a private payment point.
According to media reports, a number of women were dead and injured when the roof of the shop collapsed while Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) beneficiaries were also present at the time of occurrence of the tragedy.
The president expressed his condolences with the bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery of the injured, President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.
He also directed provision of best possible health facilities to the injured and all possible support to the affected families.
The president further directed BISP Chairman Senator Rubina Khalid to immediately visit Rahimyar Khan.
He also directed for submission of a report after evaluation of the entire aspects of the incident so that necessary steps could be ensured to prevent occurrence of such incidents in future.
