President Erdogan felicitates PM Shehbaz on Pakistan’s peace initiative in Gulf region

ISLAMABAD, Apr 08 (APP):Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday received a telephone call from President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who conveyed heartfelt felicitations on Pakistan’s historic peace initiative aimed at ending hostilities in the Gulf region and promoting regional stability.
During their warm and cordial conversation, President Erdogan commended the prime minister’s bold and sagacious leadership in pursuing diplomatic efforts to help bring an end to the devastating conflict in the Gulf, which has caused immense human suffering and widespread destruction of infrastructure, a Prime Minister’s Office news release said.
The Turkish president also reaffirmed Türkiye’s full support for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s sincere and tireless efforts to restore peace and stability in the region, appreciating Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue and reconciliation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed profound gratitude to President Erdogan for his encouragement and endorsement of Pakistan’s peace initiatives, reiterating that Islamabad remained firmly committed to supporting efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region and beyond.
