ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP):President Dr Arif Alvi departed here Sunday on three-day official visit to Turkey, on the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During his visit, the president is scheduled to attend and address the opening ceremony of newly built international airport in Istanbul. The event would also be attended by heads of state and government from other countries.
He is likely to hold bilateral meetings with Turkish president and other leaders too.
Pursuing the government’s ongoing austerity drive, the president opted to travel through commercial flight.
Setting aside the protocol, the president himself got his luggage security screened and went through the immigration process after awaiting his turn in the queue.
