ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP):President Asif Ali Zardari, Saturday, appreciated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation against Khwarij terrorists in District Bannu.
The president praised the professionalism and bravery of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and CTD personnel for eliminating eight Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists during the operation, President’s Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.
He also paid homage to the police official who embraced martyrdom while courageously fighting the terrorists.
“The sacrifices of our martyrs are a source of pride for the nation, and the country will always remember the services of its brave sons,” the president added.
