Held under the global theme “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,” the event gathered humanitarian leaders, diplomats, volunteers, and mental health advocates to emphasize the importance of integrating psychological care into all emergency responses.

She said that as disasters and crises continue to challenge human resilience, psychological care and emotional well-being must remain central to every relief effort.
She added that PRCS is committed to fostering compassion, empathy, and mental strength within communities and among its responders to ensure long-term emotional recovery.
Secretary General Muhammad Abaidullah Khan said mental health care is lifesaving care. He reaffirmed PRCS’s dedication to promoting mental health through stress management sessions, peer support initiatives, and safe spaces for emotional reflection.

Representatives from the ICRC, Norwegian Red Cross, and German Red Cross praised PRCS’s efforts, calling the initiative vital for ensuring the psychological well-being of humanitarian staff and volunteers.
During the event, the Restoring Family Links (RFL) team conducted interactive sessions on “Promoting Mental Well-being in Emergencies.” Participants took part in stress management exercises, deep breathing, and muscle relaxation, followed by an “Empathy Circle” that encouraged understanding of others’ emotional experiences.
