ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP): A delegation of the Pakistan-Romania Business Council (PRBC), comprising around 30 business representatives from different sectors of Pakistan, attended a working luncheon and business-to-business (B2B) networking session hosted by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Romania, Ilyas Mehmood Nizami, at the Embassy of Pakistan in Bucharest.
The delegation was led by Atif Farooqi, Head of Delegation and Honorary Consul Designate of Romania in Sindh. It also included Sohail Shamim Firpo, Deputy Head of Delegation and Chairman of the Pakistan-Romania Business Council, and Dr. Kaiser Rafiq, Special Representative of the Delegation, Chief Executive Officer of Discover Pakistan TV, and Proposed Honorary Consul of Romania in Punjab, said a PRBC press release received here.
During the luncheon, Ambassador Ilyas Mehmood Nizami acknowledged the efforts of Atif Farooqi in leading the delegation and working to strengthen economic, commercial, and people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Romania.
He appreciated the initiative of bringing together Pakistani business leaders to explore opportunities for trade, investment, partnerships, and access to Romanian markets.
The event provided a platform for discussions between business representatives and stakeholders from both sides. Participants exchanged views on ways to expand cooperation and build stronger business connections.
They also discussed opportunities in trade, investment, tourism, media, and other sectors of mutual interest.
The B2B networking session enabled delegates to interact directly with potential partners and explore areas where collaboration could be enhanced.
The discussions focused on developing practical business links and identifying new avenues for economic cooperation between the two countries.
Members of the Pakistan-Romania Business Council delegation thanked Ambassador Ilyas Mehmood Nizami and the staff of the Embassy of Pakistan in Bucharest for hosting the event.
