Representatives of the Pakistan–Romania Business Council (PRBC) met officials of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (ARICE) during the Romania–Pakistan Business Forum to discuss ways to expand trade, investment and business cooperation between the two countries.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP): Representatives of the Pakistan–Romania Business Council (PRBC) met officials of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (ARICE) during the Romania–Pakistan Business Forum to discuss ways to expand trade, investment and business cooperation between the two countries.
The PRBC delegation held talks with Dr Doru-Claudian Frunzulica, Vice President of ARICE, on strengthening institutional links and creating new opportunities for businesses in Pakistan and Romania, said a press release received here.
The delegation included Atif Farooqi, Head of Delegation of the Pakistan–Romania Business Council and Honorary Consul Designate of Romania in Sindh, Pakistan; Sohail Shamim Firpo, Chairman of the Pakistan–Romania Business Council; and Faisal Rao, Member of the Board of Governors of the Pakistan–Romania Business Council.
During the meeting, both sides discussed a practical framework to improve connections between Romanian and Pakistani companies. The PRBC delegation proposed the appointment of designated focal points, structured business introductions, sector-focused meetings and regular follow-up on trade and investment opportunities.
The delegation highlighted Sindh and Karachi as key entry points for Romanian companies interested in exploring the Pakistani market. It also presented the proposed “Romania in Sindh” initiative as a platform to promote business engagement and cooperation.
In addition, the delegation proposed holding a Pakistan Opportunity Day in Bucharest to showcase Pakistani businesses and investment opportunities to Romanian companies and investors.
The discussions identified several sectors for future cooperation, including agriculture and food processing, energy, industrial modernisation, information technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, textiles, logistics, education and skills development.
The meeting underscored the commitment of the Pakistan–Romania Business Council to promoting long-term business cooperation between the two countries through institutional coordination and continued engagement between the private sectors of Pakistan and Romania.
