ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary General Muhammad Humayun Khan attended the 80th founding anniversary celebration of the Workers’ Party of Korea as the chief guest, reaffirming his party’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations between Pakistan and North Korea.
Welcomed warmly by the North Korean ambassador on arrival, Humayun Khan was joined at the ceremony by Senator Waqar Mehdi, Member of the National Assembly Shahida Rehmani, and former Governor Barrister Masood Kausar.
In his address, Humayun Khan congratulated the ambassador and the people of North Korea on the milestone anniversary and expressed the desire to further enhance cooperation between the two nations. “The diplomatic ties between Pakistan and North Korea are built on mutual trust and respect, and I am confident these relations will continue to grow stronger over time,” he said.
He underscored the importance of creating new opportunities for cooperation to advance peace, development, and stability in the region. “The Pakistan People’s Party’s foreign policy has always been founded on the principles of peace, equality, sovereignty, and mutual respect,” Humayun Khan stated. “We seek balanced relations with all countries to promote peace and progress in the region and the world.”
The North Korean ambassador expressed appreciation for the participation of PPP leaders in the ceremony and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
