RAWALPINDI, Dec 27 (APP): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) city chapter on Sunday observed the 8th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto (BB) Shaheed at the martyrdom site Liaquar Bagh.

Quran Khawani was held and Fateha was offered for the departed soul. The rallies from different cities and union councils including Taxila, Gujjar Khan, Murree, Jehlum, Attock, Chakwal, including PPP Labour Wing, doctors and Lawyers Wing, Women and Youth Wings started arriving at the martyrdom place.

PPP local leaders paid glowing tribute to late Benazir Bhutto on her 8th anniversary and recalled her services she rendered for the promotion of democracy.

Talking to media men, Raja Imran Ashraf, PPP Divisional Coordinator, said that assassination of Benazir Bhutto was well-planned conspiracy. Benazir Bhutto will alive in our hearts and her mission and vision would be continued with true spirit.

PPP leader Zamarud Khan said Benazir Bhutto was a leader of International stature who laid down her life for the supremacy of constitution and democracy in Pakistan.

He said that the day when she was assassinated was the darkest day in history of the country.

On the occasion, special stalls of CDs and books filmed and written on life of BB were also set up.

City Traffic Police make special arrangements to maintain traffic flow.

Tight security arrangements were made to avert any untoward incident.
