LAHORE, July 15 (APP): Pakistan People’s Party staged a demonstration here on Friday to express solidarity with Kashmiris and protested against Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.

PPP leaders including Samina Ghurki, Umer Sharif, Amer Barrister, Muhammad Ayub and a large number of PPP workers participated in the protest, held outside the Lahore Press Club here.

The protestors were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans against atrocities of Indian forces on Kashmiris in held Kashmir. They also raised slogans against the Modi government.

Addressing on the occasion, speakers said that they would continue supporting the struggle of Kashmiris till their freedom from India. They said the PPP leadership had always highlighted the Kashmir issue at the international fora.

Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) also staged a protest demonstration to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and against brutalities of the Indian occupational forces in the the held valley.

Speaking on the occasion, the party leaders, Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan, Maulana Saifuddin Saif and others, said that Kashmiris were fighting for their self-determination for the last many decades and they had rendered sacrifices for their cause.

They urged the international community to take notice of the Indian atrocities and resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
