ISLAMABAD, Oct 12 (APP): Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan Paulo Domingues has lauded the establishment of the Dragon Force Football Academy in Sialkot as a shining example of the potential for Pakistan-Portugal cooperation.

Congratulating FC Porto, one of the world’s leading football clubs, and Forward Sports, a renowned Pakistani football manufacturer, on establishing the academy to high international standards, the Ambassador described the initiative as a practical demonstration of what the two countries can achieve together.
“This is just an example of what Portugal and Pakistan can do together Portuguese expertise with Pakistani talent,” he remarked, expressing optimism about expanding similar partnerships into other sectors and further strengthening bilateral relations.
The academy, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), brings together Portugal’s football expertise and Pakistan’s established sports manufacturing capabilities, opening new avenues for football development, youth training and international cooperation.
The Ambassador’s remarks underscored the broader potential of Pakistan-Portugal collaboration beyond sports, with the academy serving as a model for partnerships that combine international knowledge, local talent and institutional facilitation.
The initiative reflects SIFC’s commitment to facilitating productive international linkages and unlocking opportunities that showcase Pakistan’s capabilities while strengthening mutually beneficial relations with partner countries.
Concluding his message with a warm expression of goodwill, the Ambassador affirmed the spirit of friendship between the two nations: “Pakistan-Portugal friendship Zindabad!”
