ISLAMABAD, Nov 24 (APP):The Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan, Frederico Silva, met Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on November 21 to review current relations and identify new opportunities between Portugal and Sindh.
During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation in culture, sports, higher education, renewable energy, digital innovation and professional exchange. Officials noted increasing interest among Pakistani students and professionals in exploring study and work opportunities in Portugal.

The discussion also touched on potential partnerships in clean energy, water management, technology and creative sectors. Both sides agreed these areas offer room for joint projects that can support development goals in Sindh while strengthening Portugal’s outreach in the region.
The ambassador reaffirmed Portugal’s commitment to expanding ties with Pakistan and supporting initiatives that create long-term value for both sides. He also expressed interest in promoting programs that bring institutions, experts and communities from Portugal and Sindh closer through sustainable and practical cooperation.
The Chief Minister welcomed Portugal’s interest and highlighted Sindh’s focus on education, technology and energy-related reforms. He noted that partnerships with global partners can help the province advance its development plans and create opportunities for youth.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing willingness to continue follow-up discussions and translate shared priorities into concrete collaborations.
