PNCA to organize a series of cultural, artistic, awareness events on Kashmir Solidarity Day

ISLAMABAD, Jan 30 (APP): The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan and States and Frontier Regions, is set to organize a series of thoughtfully curated cultural and artistic events in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, observed on February 05.
The initiative reflects the state’s continued commitment to expressing unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to highlighting their just struggle, resilience, cultural richness, and historical narrative through creative and intellectual platforms.
As part of the commemorative activities, a Photography Exhibition will be held on February 04 and 05 at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts.
The exhibition will feature compelling visual documentation portraying the social, cultural, and human dimensions of Kashmir.
In parallel, a documentary on Kashmir will be screened during the same dates at the PNCA main lobby, providing an informative and reflective audiovisual account of the region and its enduring realities.
On February 05, a range of live performances will be presented at the PNCA Auditorium. These include a special puppet show designed to convey the message of peace, awareness, and solidarity through an engaging and symbolic medium.
This will be followed by a stage play titled “Laho Rang-e-Kashmir”, depicting the emotional, cultural, and historical essence of Kashmir through theatrical expression.
Additionally, a cultural performance will be organized on February 05 in collaboration with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Academy at the New PM House, Muzaffarabad.
The performance will showcase traditional music and cultural expressions from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, further reinforcing the shared cultural heritage and collective national resolve.
Through this comprehensive series of events, PNCA aims to foster public awareness, encourage cultural dialogue, and reaffirm Pakistan’s principled stance on the Kashmir issue using the unifying language of arts and culture.
