PMYP to launch ‘Startup Pakistan Programme’ to train skilled young labor

ISLAMABAD, Mar 28 (APP):Prime Minister Youth Programme has planned to launch ‘Startup Pakistan Programme’ for Youth of all universities along with Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes in the country to develop innovation driven entrepreneurs (IDEs).
According to an official, the startup programme would help to inculcate technical training and skills on broader spectrum among the students namely youth of the country studying diverse scientific subjects and also others seeking education and technological skills in TVET institutes.
It would help to attain better livelihood and career opportunities on viable platforms which were inaccessible to them earlier due to lack of basic skills and technical education, he added.
“The students of universities will be given technical and vocational training in seven emerging technologies through incubation initiative which will also in reaching global forums to exploit their talent and expertise,” he added.
He further said that the students partaking in the programme will be offered valuable technical and vocational training in both high-tech and conventional demand-driven trades to ensure their maximum employability.
He said that the programme was meant for uplifting youth and maintain sustainable national economic growth which was only possible if we could manage our young labour on modern trends in line with latest developments.
He said that PTI Government was focusing to bring institutional change to achieve socio-economic empowerment of youth.
