PESHAWAR, Jul 30 (APP):Prime Minister’s Focal Person on Polio Eradication, Ayesha Raza Farooq, called on Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah to review the ongoing efforts to eradicate polio from the province.
Senior officials from the National and Provincial Emergency Operations Centers were also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, participants discussed the current polio situation in the province, the outcomes of recent campaigns, and the challenges faced in reaching every child.
The meeting also focused on strategies to further improve the polio vaccination campaigns through better coordination and enhanced outreach.
Special emphasis was laid on ensuring successful campaigns in the southern districts of the province, with measures aimed at achieving effective results.
Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah reaffirmed the commitment of the provincial government and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to completely eliminate the poliovirus from the province, adding that all available resources are being utilized to achieve this national goal.
