PMLN CEC condemns aggression, HR violations by Indian forces in Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP): The Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Monday while strongly condemning atrocities by Indian security forces in the Occupied Kashmir vowed to continue political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris struggling for their right of self determination.

The CEC, chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, in a resolution, lauded the “courageous and prudent” address of the Prime Minister to the United Nations General Assembly and said it fully reflected the aspirations of the Pakistani and Kashmiri people.

The meeting condemned the gross human rights violations by Indian forces and said the engagements of the Prime Minister with the world leaders and international organisations on the issue, showed that Kashmir was an unresolved agenda of the partition of sub-continent.

They said lasting peace in the region was not possible, without its settlement in light of the resolutions of the United Nations.

“The CEC while condemning the Indian aggression and violation of the Line of Control makes it clear that the entire nation was united and our brave armed forces were fully ready to give a befitting response to any aggression,” a statement released from the PM House said.

The CEC described the “political will” of the government to curb terrorism, as of utmost importance and said the results of the Zarb-e-Azb were very productive.

The measures taken by the valiant armed forces, police, civil armed forces, the nation and all relevent institutions have led to destruction of hideouts and training centres of the terrorists, it noted.

The CEC expressed the hope that the menace of terrorism would soon be eliminated from the soil of the country.

The CEC said that the party gives high importance to all development projects across the country, particularly the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and said these were vital for the progress and development of the country.

The CEC said raising of Pakistan’s economic conditions to a level where independent international institutions were also lauding it, was highly praise worthy.

The meeting also appreciated the government for ensuring transparency and merit at every level and said it was reflective of its efficient performance.

The CEC expressed pleasure and satisfaction that since the general election in 2013, the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) has succeeded in all by-elections, local bodies polls besides the elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan and said it was an affirmation of the confidence of the people on the policies of the government.

The meeting also described the improvement in situation in Karachi and Balochistan as a result of successful policies of the government.

The CEC also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his detailed presentation on internal and foreign affairs of the country.

The meeting offered fateha for those martyred by the firing of Indian troops, for lasting peace for the young son of PML-N Siddiqul Farooq and all the Kashmiri martyrs inludng Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

The CEC was addressed by Raja Zafarul Haq, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Sar Anjam Khan, Sardar Yaqoob Nasir, Siddiqul Farooq, Prime Minister Azad Jammu Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider, Chief Minister Gigit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman, Kamran Michael and Begum Najma Hameed.

Khawaja Saad Rafique presented a schedule of party election, that was approved by the CEC.
