PML-N wants to a real democrat chairman Senate: Talal

ISLAMABAD, Mar 11 (APP):Minister of State for Interior Muhammad Talal Chaudhry Sunday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wanted to elect a real democrat for chairman Senate, who will work for supremacy of Parliament and strengthening the democracy.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the PML-N government had fulfilled its promise of holding Senate elections on stipulated time.
The minister said PML-N was enjoying majority votes in the Senate.
He said former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was the most popular leader, who had launched number of welfare projects in the country.
He said we wanted continuity of democratic system and also urged all political parties to evolve consensus on national issues.
