PML-N to win 2018 election due to its performance: Kirmani

ISLAMABAD, June 5 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani Sunday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would win elections in 2018 due to its performance.

It would fulfill all the commitments, including end to power load-shedding, which it had made to the general public, and put the country on the road to development, he said while addressing a party’s Ulema and Mashaikh convention here.

He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was following the mission and principles of Quaid-e-Azam. The latter had founded Pakistan and the former made it an atomic power.

Asif Kirmani said the Prime Minister conducted six nuclear blasts despite international pressure and rejecting an offer for $5 billion.

He said it was the agenda of Prime Minister to end the deprivations of people and bring development and prosperity to them.

On the other hand, he said some people had joined the politics to fulfill their personal agenda. The people, who wanted to make a ‘new Pakistan’ should focus on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where they were in power.

He said there was no room for any unconstitutional move in the country. Only democracy was the solution of problems, he added.

Kirmani said the PML-N believed in the supremacy of Parliament where all political issues should be settled.

He said the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government was corrupt and incompetent. After the successful conventions held by the PML-N in AJK, PTI chief Imran Khan and PPP Chairman Bilwal Zardari were visiting the area, he added.
