MIRPUR, July 3 (APP): Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for
Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani Sunday said the Pakistan Muslim
League-Nawaz (PML-N) would emerge victorious in Azad Jammu and
Kashmir (AJK) elections.
Addressing an Iftar dinner hosted by Chaudhry Saeed, PML-N
candidate for LA-3 Mirpur, he said this year the Kashmiris would
celebrate two Eids, one at the end of holy month of Ramzan and the
other on the victory of PML-N in elections on July 21. The PML-N
government after elections would resolve all the issues being faced
by the Kashmiris, he added.
He asked the Kashmiris to vote after verifying the credentials
of the candidates. They should keep the past record of candidates in
view. They should not consider political vagabonds, he added.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was the architect of a
modern and vibrant Pakistan, wanted to build Kashmir on the same pattern.
He (Nawaz) was rasing the Kashmir issue at international fora with courage and commitment, he added.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wanted to transform Kashmir into a
vibrant and progressive valley, he said.
He said the Pakistan Peoples Party had already lost the people’s confidence. Its candidates having election symbol of ‘arrow’ were
building castles in the air. They were in fact were now non-entities,
he added.
Similarly, he said, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had always created hurdles in the development and progress. For getting power, it was using the Muslim Conference. After failure to deliver in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it was seeking support of others to hide its failures.
He said the Kashmiris’ rights had been plundered for years.
The election was an opportunity to choose right leadership and the
PML-N was the best choice as it worked for people’s welfare and the
country’s progress and prosperity, he added.
Dr Kirmani said the Prime Minister desired to remove the Kashmiris sense of deprivation and the PML-N after coming into power, would start a new era of progress and development in the AJK.
He urged people of LA-3 to vote for Chaudhry Saeed.
