PML-N not to boycott election: Khaqan Abbasi

ISLAMABAD, Jun 27 (APP):Former Prime Minister Shahid Khanqan Abbasi has said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) would contest the upcoming general election for coming into power again.
Keeping in view the present situation, the PML-N would not boycott the elections, he said while talking to a private news channel.
Commenting on Qamar ul Islam, he said the elections could be controversial if Qamar ul Islam was not released. He said Qamar ul Islam had been serving as MPA for a decade and the arrest of that personality could make the upcoming elections controversial.
To a question, he said Nawaz Sharif had appeared before the courts and facing the cases but we had apprehension about the judicial inquiry launched against the former prime minister.
Khaqan Abbasi said there must be free and fair elections in the country.
To another question, he said Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan from London after health recovery of Kulsoom Nawaz.
The former Prime Minister said opponents were using tactics to defame the party leaders.
Replying to a question regarding development works, he said previous government of PML-N had made record projects across the country without any discrimination.
