ISLAMABAD, May 8 (APP):Spokesman to Prime Minister Nadeem Afzal Chan Wednesday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership were doing politics on the health of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as evident from their disinclination for his angiography.
The PML-N had failed to assemble workers on Tuesday to send Nawaz Sharif back to the jail while Hamza Shehbaz seemed to be enjoying the situation as he was continuously laughing while driving the vehicle of his uncle, he said while talking to a private news channel.
Chan said there were two camps in the PML-N, one supported Nawaz Sharif and the other backed Shehbaz Sharif, who had gone abroad to avoid facing corruption cases. “It ill behoves Shehbaz Sharif not to return to the country while corruption cases against his family are being proceeded in courts,” he added.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had already given a clear message to the corrupt elements that there would be no compromise on corruption and money laundering. Today the Sharif family could no more avoid facing cases like that of Pervaiz Musharaf regime when they were given a clean chit.
Chan said Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and other corrupt leaders had ruthlessly looted the national wealth but the incumbent government was determined to recover the looted public money from them.
Replying to a question, he said the federal cabinet had directed the committee to recommend names of three experts from the private sector for the Federal Broad of Revenue (FBR) chairman to revamp the institution for achieving the objective,, including maximum revenue collection.
The previous governments had also hired the services of technocrats and experts to streamline the revenue collection system, he added.
The spokesperson said there was no harm in availing the services of overseas Pakistanis for the welfare, betterment and prosperity of the country and its people.
