ISLAMABAD, Mar 30 (APP):Senator Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Lt General (Retd), Abdul Qayyum Friday said that the PML-N would continue struggle for strengthening democracy and constitution of the country.
All the institutions should work under their domain for protection of constitution and democracy, he said while talking to a news channel.
Commenting on former prime minister, he said that Nawaz Sharif had expressed reservation over the verdict of courts regarding disqualification for taking “Iqama” .
He said every citizen hold the right to express reservation but it does not mean that they were insulting the institution. Similarly, he said Nawaz Sharif as a citizen of Pakistan also hold the right to narrate his point of view on any verdict.
To a question about reports of horse-trading in recent Senate Chairman elections, he said it was disappointing for the country.
He urged all the political parties to work for strengthening democracy, national institutions, development and welfare
of the country.
