PMDC announces NEB exam on May 16
ISLAMABAD, Apr 07 (APP):The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced that the National Examination Board (NEB) examination will be held on May 16, 2026.
According to the council, the online registration portal will remain open from April 9 to April 24, 2026.
Eligible candidates have been advised to complete their registration within the stipulated timeframe once the portal becomes active.
The NEB is conducted twice a year to evaluate the academic knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competence of students who have partially completed their medical or dental education abroad and are seeking transfer or admission into institutions in Pakistan.
The examination will be computer-based and consist of multiple-choice questions.
PMDC stated that Pakistani students enrolled in foreign medical and dental colleges who have completed at least 2 years of study and progressed to the third year are eligible to appear for the exam.
Successful candidates will qualify for transfer and admission into Pakistani institutions for the upcoming academic session.
The council also highlighted that students currently studying in countries such as Iran can avail this opportunity, provided they fulfill all codal requirements and complete their registration on time.
In addition, PMDC has urged students and parents planning to pursue medical or dental education abroad to exercise caution. The council stressed the importance of considering student safety, security conditions, and long-term academic prospects before making decisions.
