ISLAMABAD, Jun 04 (APP):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said that Pakistan was keen to elevate its economic ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into a mutually beneficial economic partnership.
He was talking to a high powered Saudi business delegation which called on him at the PM House.
The prime minister was assisted by Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for Communications Aleem Khan, Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kiyani, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, SAPM Haroon Akhtar Khan, and other senior government officials were also present.

Welcoming the Saudi delegation to Pakistan the prime minister recalled the visit of Prince Mansour and the Saudi business delegation to Pakistan in October 2025, and hoped that the current visit would help both sides to carry forward the discussions and sign MoUs and agreements in various fields.
He conveyed his respectful regards to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Prince Mansour thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and hospitality and expressed keen desire of the Saudi Government as well as the business community to enhance B2B engagement with Pakistan across a number of areas. They expressed Saudi interest in investment in projects related to ports, highways, airports outsourcing, energy, power distribution, IT sector etc.

The prime minister welcomed Saudi investments in such diverse areas and also suggested that agriculture and food security could be another priority area in which both countries could explore mutually beneficial opportunities.
The Saudi delegation will hold meetings with key government and private sector partners to enhance Saudi investments in Pakistan, in line with the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
