ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (APP):Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion of World Day of Peaceful Coexistence urged the nation to renew its commitment to dialogue, understanding and tolerance instead of division, understanding and prejudice to ensure that peaceful coexistence not remains a mere concept but rather becomes a living reality for people around the world and inspire practical action.
In his message on the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence, the prime minister called the nation to set an example for the future generations that differences are not threats but opportunities to learn and move forward.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said “let us work together to build a world where cooperation and peace prevail instead of conflict”. He added that Pakistan is among the world community in celebrating the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence which is observed every year by the United Nations to promote harmony, unity and mutual respect among nations and humanity.
The prime minister underlined that the day aimed to combat conflict and tension on the planet through education, dialogue and interfaith cooperation. This day highlights the fact that lasting peace in the world is possible only when people adopt a behavior of dignity, mutual respect and understanding, he added.
“The world is rich in the diversity of different cultures, religions, languages and ideologies, and this diversity is not a threat but a positive strength. Today, the world is going through a period when countries are facing conflicts, divisions and multiple global challenges, so the need for peaceful coexistence and coexistence has increased more than ever,” PM Shehbaz said.
He noted that the Islamic teachings also emphasize tolerance, inclusion and harmonious behavior with other nations and communities.
