PM to attend UNGA opening session, hold bilateral meetings today
NEW YORK, Sep 22 (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to attend the opening session of the 81st United Nations General Assembly being held here.
The opening session will feature addresses by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and US President Donald Trump.
The High-Level UNGA Week brings together the leaders from across the world under the theme, “Restoring trust, managing transformation: a United Nations that delivers for all.”
The prime minister, who is set to have a busy day, will also hold bilateral meetings with various world leaders attending the session.
Prime Minister Shehbaz arrived here on Monday, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi to attend the session.
