PM Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discuss regional developments in Jeddah

JEDDAH, Mar 13 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a restricted meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman here on Thursday, where the two leaders discussed regional developments and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and promoting peace and stability in the region.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir, a Prime Minister’s Office news release said.

At the outset, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and expressed deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s longstanding support to Pakistan.

The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during what he described as challenging times, emphasizing the strong fraternal relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, both leaders held an in-depth exchange of views on recent regional developments and agreed to work closely together to promote peace and stability in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz assured the Saudi crown prince that Pakistan would continue to stand firmly with Saudi Arabia and work jointly to achieve their shared objective of regional peace and stability.
