PM pays tribute to Arfa Karim on her death anniversary

ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paying tribute to the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional, Arfa Karim Randhawa, on her death anniversary, said that she was a symbol of the immense potential of Pakistan’s youth, reflecting their talent, intelligence and capacity to excel.
In a statement, the prime minister noted that at a very young age she brought international recognition to Pakistan and proved that Pakistani youth were second to none.
He said Arfa Karim’s achievements remained a source of pride and inspiration even today, adding that her vision was to see Pakistan equipped with modern technology and knowledge.
Referring to the naming of the Software Technology Park in Lahore after Arfa Karim, the prime minister said it was a matter of pride for the nation. He added that the government was committed to turning Arfa Karim’s dream into reality by providing young people with opportunities to advance in the fields of research, innovation and technology.
Expressing heartfelt sympathies with her parents and other family members, the prime minister prayed for the eternal peace of Arfa Karim’s soul and urged the nation to follow in her footsteps.
