QUETTA, Jan 22 (APP):Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan attached great importance to the development of Balochistan as Pakistan’s prosperity was linked with progress of the province.
Talking to media persons, she said that unfortunately recent rains and heavy snowfall resulted in loss of precious lives and property.
She said that National Disaster Management Authority with cooperation of the provincial government took several steps for rehabilitation of the affected people.
She assured that the federal government would provide all possible assistance to the provincial government for rehabilitation of the victims.
Dr Firdous said that in Davos, Prime Minister Imran Khan met United States President Donald Trump who offered mediation on Kashmir issue. With this offer, the Kashmir issue has been highlighted in the world once again, she added.
The SAPM said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was advocating the case of Kashmiris on international fora.
