ISLAMABAD, Jul 15 (APP): Minister for Commerce Engr. Khurram Dastgir has said Pakistan was highlighting the Kashmir cause at all international fora, including the United Nations (UN).

Speaking in a private news channel programme, he said  Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had taken up the issue at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) openly condemned Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir.

The minister strongly condemned use of brutal force by the
Indian troops in held Kashmir, saying Pakistan firmly believed in the struggle of Kashmiri people and their right to
self-determination.

He said the government called the Indian High Commissioner to Foreign Office to record protest on Indian brutalities and
cruelties against innocent Kashmiris.

Khurram Dastgir said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had summoned a cabinet meeting on Friday to discuss Kashmir situation and he (PM) would soon call a session of parliament to evolve consensus on the issue.

He said the government would highlight the Kashmir issue at
political and diplomatic levels at all international fora.

MQM Senator Mian Atiq strongly condemned fresh state
terrorism in the held Kashmir and urged international community to take notice of Indian barbarism.

He underlined need to present real and worst face of India
at every fora.

Hurriyet leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said Indian troops had
arrested several Kashmiri leaders and freedom fighters and 40 Kashmiris were killed in the worst state terrorism.

“I and All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman
Syed Ali Gilani were under house arrest and both could did not offer Eid-ul-Fitar prayers,” he said.

He said Indian authorities had imposed curfew in the entire
Kashmir valley.

He strongly condemned killing of Burhan Wani and said he
sacrificed his life for the just cause of Kashmiri people.
