ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz, Wednesday, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Pakistan and the Muslims around the world on the advent of blessed and spiritually filled holy month of Ramazan.
In his message on the occasion of Ramazan 1447 Hijra, the prime minister observed that indeed, this great and sacred month was a special blessing from Almighty Allah, granting Muslims the opportunity to renew the values of devotion and humility in worship, righteousness and piety and spiritual purification.
He stressed that Ramazan reminded them, both individually and collectively, that the true spirit of worship was hidden in reforming their characters, fostering mutual sacrifice and compassion and fulfilling the social responsibilities and rights of people.
“Fasting is not merely the observance of a religious obligation; rather, it is practical training in patience, discipline and a sense of responsibility in our daily lives,” PM Office Media Wing in a press release, quoted the prime minister as saying.
As a nation, he underlined that the month also conveyed the message of collective goodwill through mutual efforts, particularly emphasizing the welfare and well-being of the underprivileged segments of society.
The prime minister mentioned that the Government had launched a Ramazan Package to provide maximum possible support to vulnerable groups.
Under this initiative, financial assistance would be transferred to deserving individuals in a dignified manner through digital wallets, ensuring that every household could earn the blessings of Sehri and Iftar during Ramazan.
