ISLAMABAD, July 09 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed his satisfaction at the record high remittances received during the fiscal year 2024-25 and resolved that the government was committed to economic prosperity after bringing economic stability.
The prime minister observed that during the year 2024-25, Pakistanis abroad had sent remittances worth $38.3 billion which surpassed remittances recorded in the corresponding period of fiscal year 2023-24 by $8 billion, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
He also termed the remittances increase by 26.6 percent as a positive trend.
“The record surge in remittances reflects expatriate Pakistanis’ valuable contributions and their confidence in the national economy,” the prime minister added.
He further opined that the recent positive economic indicators were manifestation of government’s policies towards the right direction.
