PM expresses delight over Pakistan’s election as UNHRC member

ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed the delight over Pakistan’s election as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2026–2028 term.

Pakistan’s election to the UN Human Rights Council reflects its effective and active role at the United Nations, the prime minister said in a statement.

“We reaffirm Pakistan’s strong commitment to play an active role in the Council for the promotion and protection of human rights across the globe”, the prime minister added.
