ISLAMABAD, Oct 3 (APP):Prime Minister Imran Khan Wednesday directed the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTEC) to give training to maximum people of the country with special focus on China Pakistan Economic Corridor related sectors and in accordance with the local and international demand.
He gave this direction during a meeting with NAVTTC Executive Director Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema, who called on him here and briefed him about the commission’s ongoing projects.
The prime minister said skilled manpower should be prepared in view of the employment opportunities created by the FIFA Football World Cup to be held in Qatar in 2022 and the World Expo to be held in Dubai in 2020 so that maximum number of Pakistanis could get jobs.
He said the provision of employment to youth by equipping them with skills was among the foremost priorities of the PTI government, adding, equipping the youth with skills would also help check unemployment and poverty.
