PM, Chinese ambassador discuss political, parliamentary exchanges
ISLAMABAD, Aug 06 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong on Thursday, underscoring the value of people-to-people contacts, as well as exchanges between the political parties and parliaments of both countries.
During the meeting, the ambassador handed over a letter from President Xi Jinping, conveying appreciation for the Prime Minister’s letter on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, a PM’s Office news release said.
The prime minister also highlighted the positive trajectory of the bilateral relationship, while matters related to bilateral cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
