LAHORE, Jul 09 (APP):The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) on Wednesday signed an agreement for the development of a modern, secure, and scalable Scholarship Management System aimed at digitizing the entire scholarship disbursement process.
Under the agreement, PITB will design the system using advanced technology that aligns with the specific requirements and quality standards of PEEF. The system will streamline all stages of the scholarship program, making the process faster, more transparent, and more efficient.
The signing ceremony was held under the chairmanship of PITB Director General IT Solutions, Waqar Naeem Qureshi, and PEEF CEO, Muzaffar Haq Hashmi. The agreement was formally signed by PITB Director Development and Procurement, Atta-ur-Rehman, and PEEF CEO Muzaffar Haq Hashmi.
Key officials including PITB Joint Director Sajjad Qureshi and PEEF Acting Manager MIS Amna Mahmood were also present at the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said that the board is committed to ensuring the effective use of technology in the education sector. He noted that the new system will play a vital role in promoting transparency and enabling timely delivery of scholarships to thousands of deserving students.
He further emphasized that PITB’s broader vision is to improve and accelerate public service delivery across government departments through digital transformation, and this project marks a significant step in that direction.
