The government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), effective from October 9, following a review of petroleum prices in line with developments in the international market.
Petrol price rises by Rs2.31, diesel by Rs0.78 per litre

ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP): The government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), effective from October 9, following a review of petroleum prices in line with developments in the international market.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs2.31 per litre, from Rs396.65 to Rs398.96, while the price of HSD has increased by Rs0.78, from Rs394.94 to Rs395.72 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The Petroleum Division said the latest adjustments were based on global market developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other incidentals.
