Petrol, diesel prices increased

The federal government on Thursday increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.45 and Rs1.16 per litre, respectively, effective from August 14.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP): The federal government on Thursday increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.45 and Rs1.16 per litre, respectively, effective from August 14.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the revised petroleum pricing mechanism.
The price of high-speed diesel has been increased from Rs382.79 to Rs383.95 per litre, showing an increase of Rs1.16.
Meanwhile, the price of motor spirit (petrol) has been raised from Rs 324.98 to Rs 325.43 per litre, reflecting an increase of Rs 0.45.
