PESCO setup earthquake emergency response force

PESHAWAR, Oct 27 (APP): Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has
established an earthquake emergency response force (ERF) under the supervision of General Manager Niaz Khan and Chief Engineer Operation Muhammad Iqbal Marwat for facilitation of people affected by the October 26 powerful earthquake.
According to PESCO, the emergency response force can be contacted on phone numbers 091-9212010 & 091-9212037.
Director CM&O Sajjad Sethi, all superintendent engineers and field
officers have been directed to be in high alert position and keep close liaison with the districts administrations for restoration of electricity and full support should be provided to the concerned authorities.
The Pesco management further directed field officers to collect data of
damages of grid stations and other installations immediately.
All staff on leave has been called back on duty with direction to
accelerate efforts for the restoration of electricity in the affected areas.
The PESCO has made all arrangements for restoration of electricity as soon as possible as minor repairs have been done already.
