Pervaiz Rashid distributes prizes among winners of tent pegging

ISLAMABAD, Jun 6 (APP): Two-day annual tent pegging competition held in connection with Margalla Sports Festival concluded here on late Sunday at Fatima Jinnah Park.

Pervaiz Rashid was the chief guest of the event and distributed prizes amongst the riders and teams.

Around 400 horsemen across the country participated in competition with their beautiful horses and colorful dresses.

The competition was also participated by renowned teams and riders of
Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Punjab and Azad Kashmir.

Event was included Single, Double and Four Men-Team categories competition which were arranged in floodlights in order to avoid hot weather and to facilitate the riders and spectators.

The event was also attended by Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on
political affairs Dr Asif Kirmani , Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and MPA Raja Hanif Advocate.

The event was inaugurated by the Deputy Mayors of Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) Syed Zeeshan Shah Naqvi, Ch Reffat Javed and Muhammad Azam Khan on Saturday.

The organizers of the tent pegging have presented the souvenir to the
guests and also thanked them for encouraging the players and crowd.
