ISLAMABAD, Jun 3 (APP):Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) on Tuesday discussed enhancing bilateral energy cooperation and exploring new avenues for collaboration in the oil and gas sector in Baku.
According to a news release received here, the meeting focused on strengthening ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in the energy domain.
Both sides exchanged views on mutual interests, including potential investments and joint ventures, to bolster energy security and sustainable development.
Ali Pervaiz Malik highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with global energy leaders like SOCAR.
He also informed about the government’s efforts to create an investor-friendly environment to encourage more investment in the country.
Rovshan Najaf commended Pakistan’s progress in the energy sector and expressed SOCAR’s interest in deepening engagement with Pakistani counterparts.
