NOWSHERA, Jan 10 (APP):Defence Minister Pervez Khattak Friday said the people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa, particularly of Nowshera district, had immense love and affection for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
It was evident from the fact that the KP people had reposed confidence in the PTI’s policies by voting for the party to power with majority for the second consecutive term in the last general election, he said while addressing a big public gathering here at Azakhel after inauguration of a modern dry port by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The minister said the KP was a strong fort of the PTI and would remain so in future due to the excellent performance of its government.
He said all the National and provincial assembly seats of Nowshera district were won by the PTI in the 2018 general election, which showed the love of people for PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Majority of the problems being faced by Nowshera people had been resolved, he said, highlighting the issues of gas, lands and railway crossings, which still needed to be addressed.
He requested Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed to grant a non-objection certificate for passing of a gas pipeline under the under railway tracks, so that the remaining areas of Nowshera could get the facility.
Congratulating the Minister for Railways on the completion of dry port in record one year time, he requested him to rename it as Azakhel-Pirpai Dry Port, which was approved by Sheikh Rasheed.
Pervez Khattak also requested KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan to set up the campus of Agriculture University in Nowshera.
