PEC launches 2nd Young Engineers Personality Development Programme at NDU

ISLAMABAD, Sep 25 (APP): The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), in collaboration with the National Defence University (NDU), held the inaugural session of its second Young Engineers Personality Development Programme (YEPDP) at NDU.

The one-week programme is being conducted for Phase 2, Batch-I of PEC’s Graduate Engineers Training (GET) Placement Programme.

The batch comprises 700 engineering graduates who have completed five months of field placement across more than 60 leading public and private organisations.

At NDU, they will take part in training organised through the Institute for Professional Leadership Development Centre (IPLDC), covering communication, leadership, teamwork, emotional intelligence, conflict management and professional ethics.

Chairman PEC Engr. Waseem Nazir said the training would help young engineers build on their field experience and prepare for professional responsibilities. He congratulated the participants on the opportunity to become NDU alumni at an early stage of their careers and encouraged them to make full use of the programme.

PEC selected a total of 2,300 engineers for the first and second GET cohorts through digital balloting, with each trainee receiving Rs. 50,000 throughout their placement. The first cohort of 600 graduates completed its training at NDU in July 2026.

The current batch will complete its one-week programme through expert-led sessions, discussions, case studies and practical learning activities.
