PBM MD meets Chinese embassy second secretary
ISLAMABAD, April 4 (APP):Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) Aon Abbas Buppi Thursday met with Second Secretary of Chinese Embassy, Li Wenqing, representatives from Chinese enterprises and World Health Organization (WHO) here its head office.
Various agendas apropos social protection were discussed during the meeting. The delegation was briefed about the public service delivery mechanism of PBM for the deprived persons, a press release said.
Managing Director of PBM underscored the need of collective efforts in the field of humanitarian assistance.
Dr Maryam Malick from World Health Organization also presented the need of Assistive Devices for the persons with disabilities.
Appreciating the pro-poor services of PBM, the delegation articulated their support for orphans, persons with disabilities and poor patients of thalassemia throughout the country.
Expressing his gratitude to the delegation, MD PBM Aon Abbas Buppi termed the meeting an extensive drive for exploring the more areas of joint-ventures to address the thorny issues associated with poverty and illness.
