PBC to setup FM 101 radio station in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 16 (APP): Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) Syed Muhammad Imran Gardezi has said that PBC would establish FM 101 radio station in Bahawalpur.
Talking to APP here Monday he said that Soutul Quran programme would also be started in Bahawalpur shortly.He said that 10 kilowatt transmitter would be installed at Bahawalpur Radio Station which will increase the area of coverage. He said that construction of boundary wall at Bahawalpur Radio Station is also underway.He further told that producers, news editors and other staff have been recruited in Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation purely on merit basis who are under training now.
New programmes are being introduced to attract more listeners, he added.
