ISLAMABAD, Sep 17 (APP):A delegation of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), led by its Vice Chairman, Pir Muhammad Masood Chishti, on Thursday called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi at the Supreme Court and presented the Biannual Progress Report (2024–2026) of the Council’s Directorate of Legal Education.
The delegation briefed the Chief Justice on the Directorate’s efforts to improve the quality of legal education and strengthen professional standards.
The discussion covered oversight of law teaching institutions, curriculum development, continuing legal education and opportunities for practical training for lawyers.
Justice Yahya Afridi observed that sound legal education was essential for developing a capable legal profession and ensuring effective administration of justice.
He emphasized the importance of practical skills, professional ethics and sustained cooperation among the Bar, legal education institutions and other stakeholders in preparing future members of the legal profession.
